SOUNDTRACK FLASHBACK !! THE SHOW ... TOWERBELL RECORDS .. 1985

This sleeve is for Rebecca's chart hit single 'The Show', which was the theme song for the highly popular series 'Connie' starring Stephanie Beacham.. The record made the top 30 in the UK charts, peaking at no 15.. The instumental version of the song appeared on the flipside..

 While a 12" single featured 3 incidental tracks from the series..Will feature that sleeve in a future post! The series 'Connie' will get a dvd release next March from Network, here is a look at the cover....

As well as starring in numerous WestEnd hit shows, Rebecca has also contributed themes for a number of film and TV series.. Most notably is 'The Show' from the popular drama 'Connie' which starred Stephanie Beacham.. Here is a record cover for a 1985 single of a track called 'Widow's Tears', which was the theme for the hit ITV series 'Widow's', which starred Ann Mitchell, currently in 'Eastenders' and was written by the wonderful Lynda LaPlante. This clip is from the popular game show 3 -2- 1 which was a big Saturday night show back in the mid-80's ..not sure of the exact year of the clip.. Rebecca sings 'The Second Time', which was recorded by Elaine Paige and was from a film called 'Blithis'...

EVENT FLASHBACK : NATIONAL CONCERT HALL .. 7TH MARCH 2009 ..

   

For two nights in March of 2009, Rebecca returned to The National Concert Hall, with her very successful show .. 'You Don't Bring Me Flowers - The Barbra Streisand Songbook' ... These two  events were part of her 25th Anniversary celebrations..   Rebecca's guest for this show was Paul Harrington..
